The girl-child

On her way back from work late Friday night along a lonely path brought her to a view of a female child of about five years old in front of a noisy and crowded bar, girls and boys having fun on a Friday night. Though being late at night and darkness covering the face of the earth her age could be ascertained but she was wearing a low hair cut, dressed in a short, a white slippers and a white top with a folder piece of cloth on her waist. She was not hidden, she was dancing with every effort to ensure her waist was shaking as she was dancing and looking at her back side to see if her behind was dancing along with her. From all indication she was interested in the activity going on there and was dancing to the rhythm slamming and jamming at the inside. Then she looked around to figure out which residence the girl must have come out from, she sighed in confusion  because all the houses were fenced with big gates and guards at every gate, houses for the rich. Certainly she cannot be from any of these houses. Still looking she saw a wooden shop just behind the noisy and crowded bar. Definitely that's where she is from and the piece of cloth round her waist for carrying the baby with the woman inside the shop. Then she drove by.

Then I ask, why would a female child be out that late dancing and twisting her waist at that very spot and at that very time of the night and her mother is just close by? Is it the carelessness of the mother or the foolishness of the child. Did they not say charity begins at home? Even if she is not her mother but her guardian does she not know she's being exposed to child abuse. Each day the society tries to resolve issues facing the girl-child. Different NGO campaigning from one secondary school to another. The training does not start at the adolescent age, it starts from the childhood age. Protect her from being in vulnerable situations. Parents can actually spend less but give much by inculcating moral values in your children. All it will take is a little of your time and divine direction. "Therefore wisdom is profitable to direct, get wisdom. And in all they getting, get understanding". It's is not by power (beating) or by might.
