Moment of Truth

Atimes the one we call friend is not really a friend. Not because he is not good enough to be a friend but because he just doesn't fit that definition of friend. Friendship is a two way traffic. One floods the action the other receives and reciprocates. One doesn't always sit at the receiving end. Two or more people filling each others needs, being there for each other, cheering each other. It's a mutual phenomena (Symbiosis). Know you can't expect to receive what you can't give. Though I wonder how some people keep giving even when it is not reciprocated: special heart.

Then comes the moment of truth when you ask yourself: Why do I call him friend?
You refer to him as friend because you know that he wants the best for you. You confide in him because you trust him. Whenever you call he responds. When you need a shoulder, he gives you both to lean on. Truely he is a friend, but can he say that of you. Do you listen to him or do you only want him to listen to you. Do you want to know what's in his mind or do you only want to tell him what's on your mind? Is that how your relationship with God is?
