NOW THAT HALF OF THE YEAR IS GONE...

Now that the first half of the year is gone, what is your success story? To some it was more of  an experience than a success story but, you could always look back and emphatically say ‘’I MOVED FORWARD’’ rather than backward .

Success they say is an attainment of higher social status; it could also mean the achievement of a set goal e.g academic success. If the opposite is failure, will it be right to say that if you did not achieve any of your goals in the first half of the year you have failed? Knowing that is just like half time of a football game, you can plan again, re-strategize and take up the second half with a solid plan, zeal and a positive attitude in place! A wise man once said “Life is not a bed of roses and there is no narrow way to success’

Be ready to step out into new places

So many people today get stuck in a rut because they don’t want to get out of their comfort zone. They want to stay with what they know because it’s familiar. But in order for you to reach your full potential, you have to be willing to step out into the unknown. You won’t ever walk on water until you step out of the boat!

We all have areas where we can rise higher. Open your heart today and be ready to step out into the unknown. Trust that the Lord will guide and order your every step. Begin to expect that the unexpected is on the way.

Life is going to knock you down...

Life is going to knock you down sometimes, and that's ok.
But what's not ok is when you let life keep you down.  .
There's a good chance that you don't like me,
but an even better chance that I don't care.
Don't be so poor that all you have is money...
And the trouble is, if you don’t risk anything, you risk even more.”

Learn to live like Christ

I haven't written a piece in a long while due to struggles and a quest to find true peace of mind. Praise God I have found what i've been looking for. Another thing I found is that a large number of us claiming to be Christians today, are only playing religion whether we know it or not.
If we take a good look around, we'd find that aside the violent attacks on Christians all over the world motivated by other opposing religions, using terrorism as a major tool, the Christian body seem to be fighting an unknown yet, very serious battle within itself.
This might sound a little complicated but I pray the spirit help us understand. I stumbled upon a scripture today in Heb2:11-12 where Jesus called us (Believers) His brethren; then I stopped to ponder "Do you know WHO just called you brother?"  That's something an ordinary mind will never comprehend. If Christ in the greatness of His might and in the holiness of His holiness could call us brethren, then why do we only see ourselves as brethren just within the church?
This is meant to be a short, straight to the point kinda right up..so here's what I found.. The church have become too consumed with personal needs and drive for successes that we give very little attention to the word. Psalm82:5-7, Romans8:8.

Have A Dream For Your Life

Try around some stuff until you find what fits

There are dreamers who don't work and there are workers who don't dream.

If you have to work you need to have a dream.

When you have a dream it's just like being pregnant...You have to be able to conceive...To conceive is to believe...

...You will  come to a time when nobody is clapping nobody is cheering, you are the only one you begin to wonder to yourself if it will ever come to pass and  that's when you'll make up your mind that you can go all the way through with God.

You don't have to stay unhealthy you have to do something to restore get your health back. It will take long but you can.

A dream comes to pass with prayer, much business and painful effort.

A lot of people have a wish bone while what we need is a backbone

The more you do the more you are able to do the less you do the less you are able to do.

Never Stop Learning: How Self-Education Creates a Bullet-Proof Career by Paul Jun

Business writer Tom Peters once said, “A career is a portfolio of projects that teach you new skills, gain you new expertise, develop new capabilities, grow your colleague set, and constantly reinvent you as a brand.”

At the heart of expanding your social graph and reinventing yourself is an unquenchable desire to learn—a mindset that stays fluid and facilitates personal growth. It is the learners, those willing to open their minds and augment their skillsets, who will be poised to succeed in the future.
But how do we foster this desire to learn? Dont we all want to learn? Who ever says, “I really hate learning new things?” Yet, in the midst of searching for security and comfort, I think we often lose sight of whats important and enter a sort of tunnel vision that can lead to stagnation. After a long day at work, Netflix sounds more seductive than spending one or two hours diving into a book that challenges you to think deeply about what you do and who you are.

So Sad you Love and not be loved in return

You are madly in love. Your partner also claims to love you too.
But wait a minute? Is it really true? Does your partner really love you?
Your mind tells you one thing; your heart tells you another. But you prefer to believe your heart, because you don’t want to face the reality. You are afraid of the consequences of accepting the truth.
But you can see some clear signs that show you are labouring to keep a one-sided relationship going. You are hoping against hope to make this work.

If you don’t call, you don’t get called. If you don’t visit your partner, you don’t get visited all because she is busy. If you offend your partner, you apologise; and if your partner offends you, you still apologise. Why? Because if you don’t apologise, the cold war will continue forever.

Sorry, you are on a long thing!
Love is extremely painful and frustrating if it is unrequited. Our people say that the he-goat placed on a she-goat does not mate.

Above the clouds...

Life in not all that rosy but above the clouds there is a bright blue sky,
Just to make you smile and keep you happy.
She is like the splash of the waves while watching the stars on the beach.
A smile that uplifts the depressed soul and warms the cold heart,
What a wonderful smile to embrace.
In Her smile is the sky sparkling with diamonds.
Happiness is in her soul that animates our bodily frame,
Just to take up the struggle in the midst of the raging storm.
She will forever be the same
Just like the silver lining.
