Encounter

The word encounter means to come upon or to meet with. Most literary meaning would say unexpected meeting. No! That’s not the kind of encounter I’m referring to. Every being always have a deep need to see or meet with someone, mostly someone you’ve not seen before, someone greater and mightier than you’ve seen. For most believers this person could be their God. This deep need to see God is what I’m referring to. So you could term it encounter with God.
God’s desire is to bring you into a relationship with him. For you to have a passionate pursuit for Him. Knowing you are in the world and so many thing craves for your attention, at times we even end up giving these things more attention than we give him. Nevertheless he sits waiting for us to come to him.

He reaches us in ways incomprehensive to us. One of which is The Word. Every revelation of the word of God is the appearance of God to man (I Samuel 3:21). Do u want to see God? Locate him in his word. For “In the beginning was the word...and the word was God”. Behind every scripture is the word of God. The word of God is quick, is alive, it moves and is a mover. If you encounter the word, you have encountered God (Psalm 147:15, John 6; 63).
Encounter with God through his word doesn’t just happen by reading the bible every morning care freely or to fulfill all righteousness. Quietness is a key to unlocking that realm. God's knowledge is revealed in the midst of quietness. There are many who don't know how to keep quiet. How then do u hear God? Quietness is not just silence. Quietness is stillness within and without (I Thessalonians 4:11).
Again you require Meekness. Meekness is an attitude not a posture. Revelation is God manifesting himself, are u longing for God to manifest himself, give attention to the word. “He who thinks he knows cannot be taught” (Psa 25:9). Don't assume you know the word, let God through the Holy Spirit teach you (Jam 1:21).
Also don’t forget to pay attention (Pro 4:20).
