The word encounter means to come upon or to meet with. Most
literary meaning would say unexpected meeting. No! That’s not the kind of
encounter I’m referring to. Every being always have a deep need to see or meet
with someone, mostly someone you’ve not seen before, someone greater and
mightier than you’ve seen. For most believers this person could be their God.
This deep need to see God is what I’m referring to. So you could term it
encounter with God.
God’s desire is to bring you into a relationship with him.
For you to have a passionate pursuit for Him. Knowing you are in the world and
so many thing craves for your attention, at times we even end up giving these
things more attention than we give him. Nevertheless he sits waiting for us to
come to him.
